Garden Events You Won't Want to Miss in 2005
Rather than create a comprehensive garden calendar, I've
editorialized a bit and listed those events that I really recommend.
Lectures that I'm giving are highlighted in yellow. If
you'd like a complete list of weekly garden events, visit the
Seattle Times.

Plants: Sustainable Gardening and Everyday Practices
with Linda Plato, 9:30 a.m. on February 4 for the Snohomish Master

disease control techniques. Linda will show us what more we can do to
garden sustainably, based on recent research from the Royal
Horticulture Society and other resources. Cougar Auditorium, McCollum
Park, Everett. $12. See
http://snohomish.wsu.edu/mg/mglect05.htm for more information. |

Gardeners may see the grandeur of Versailles and Sissinghurst and
scoff, thinking "I don't have acres to garden with! What can I learn
from these huge estates?" There's plenty to learn -- and apply -- to
our own gardens. If you love French country, English cottage, or
formal Italian, come see what you can learn from Europe's estate
gardens for your own urban garden. |
